Thunder Mountain Alpaca Ranch is in Hereford (Cochise County), Arizona, nestled at the far southeast end of the beautiful Huachuca Mountains, overlooking the San Pedro River Valley. We are just 16 miles south of Sierra Vista and Fort Huachuca, 20 miles from Old Bisbee, 30 miles from Historic Tombstone and just outside the entrance to the beautiful Coronado National Monument.

Our backyard ranch is currently home to seven Huacaya Alpacas
and all of their friends, to include "Big Hunk" the Llama, a
Navajo Churro Sheep named "Baaarney", Livestock Guardian Dogs, a herd of Chickens, a family of Peafowl, and a Barn Cat.

We love to share what we know about these amazing animals,
so we offer alpaca outings, farm tours, classes,
demonstrations and other events here at the ranch.
We also offer alpaca sales, breeding, boarding and advice
for people that want to share the "alpaca lifestyle".

We harvest the fleece once a year, and process it for sale
through all stages from freshly-shorn "raw" fleece
to
cleaned roving, hand-spun and mill-spun yarns, and

finished products like hats, gloves, scarves and socks.

You can find us at the local farmers' markets and at craft fairs
and other special events. You are always welcome to visit us here at the ranch and shop for alpaca-related items and other treasures in our Backyard Barnyard Boutique.
If you want to spend a night or two, check out our
Barnyard Boutique Suite on AirBNB or VRBO.
